In India, the only SUV available from Renault is the Renault Koleos. This French auto manufacturer introduced this SUV after the success of the Duster in order to appeal to buyers seeking mid-range utility vehicles that are suitable for Indian conditions. This new model is built on the CMF platform, which is also used by the Nissan X-Trail and was developed through the Renault Koleos alliance. In the Chinese market, customers can choose between a 2.0-litre 150bhp engine or a 2.5-litre 186bhp engine, both of which are available with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. It remains uncertain whether Renault plans to introduce the new Koleos in India due to the underwhelming performance of the current generation model.

The Renault Koleos was among the initial models introduced by Renault for the domestic market. Although it is a high-quality product, the Renault Koleos often goes unnoticed in the presence of strong competitors that have consistently demonstrated their reliability. The SUV is powered by a new generation 2.0-liter dCi diesel engine, which comes in two different power options. The manual transmission is available for both 2WD and 4WD versions, while the automatic transmission is exclusively offered for the 4WD variant.

The Renault Koleos is equipped with a 2.0 litre, dCi engine that generates power in two different states – 171bhp and 148bhp. The Renault Koleos is equipped with projector headlamps and indicators on the rear view mirror. Its design from the sides bears a striking resemblance to the Porsche Macan. The front grille features three lines and prominently displays the manufacturer’s metallic logo in the center. At the back, below the wiper, you will find the company’s logo. Adding to its sporty appearance, there is a small spoiler above the C-pillar. The chrome finish of the headlamps and electronically controlled LED turn indicators add an elegant touch. The design of the Renault Koleos is quite simple, and the center console is slightly disorganized with most of the dials and buttons placed towards the lower side. There is plenty of space for both the driver and front passenger, and the rear seat also provides comfortable room.
