KTM 200 Duke is a road bike available in only 1 variation and 2 tones. The price of 200 Duke starts at Rs. 2,31,808 in India. The KTM 200 Duke is powered by a 199.5cc BS6 motor that produces 24.67 bhp of power and 19.3 Nm of peak torque. The KTM 200 Duke is a game bare bike at a starting price of Rs. 1.93 lakh in India. The driving power of 200 Duke is 200cc which produces 25 PS of power and 19.2 Nm of torque. The 200 Duke has a six-speed gearbox. Apart from this, it has been provided with circle brakes at the front and rear. The bike weighs 159 kg and has a gas tank capacity of 13 litres. The KTM 200 Duke is a unique game exposed bike built for daredevils. Estimated at an attractive price of Rs 1.96 lakh (ex-display area), it offers a strong 200 cc motor, great safety features and a top speed of 142 kmph. The KTM 200 Duke was generally an attractive and fun-to-ride bike, and with the styling and highlight refresh on the 2020 KTM 200 Duke, it gets a new allure. While it currently looks more contemporary with similar aspects and styling to the KTM 250 Duke and KTM 390 Duke, it also now gets double channel ABS and more suspension travel on the front fork. It provides superb mid-range force, allowing riders to crush vehicles quickly.

KTM 200 Duke Standard Feature

Both diverse themes use double tone finishes and element unobtrusive illustrations. The Electronic Orange gets an orange shade for the sub-outlines while the Dull Silver Metallic gets a silver finish on the unit. Both variants come with a mix of orange color for the wheels and dark color for the rounded edges. Progress is limited to a styling overhaul in the form of a new paint theme. Hence, the 2022 model includes halogen front lamps, LED taillights, LED turn pointers, orange illuminated LCD screen, and a switchable ABS. Equipment to deal with suspension liabilities includes topsy turvy front forks and a back mono-shock. The deceleration mechanism remembers a single circle for two wheels while the safety net consists of double channel ABS.

The model continues to use a BS6-compliant 199.5cc, single-chamber, fluid cooled motor that produces 24.6bhp at 10,000rpm and 19.3Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The bike is available in a single variant and in the same price range as the Honda Accord 350, Imperial Enfield Exemplary 350 and Suzuki Gixxer SF250. The KTM Duke 200 is powered by an OBD-2 compliant, single-chamber, 199.5cc, fluid cooled, fuel-infused motor, producing 25PS and 19.3Nm. The motor is matched with a 6-speed gearbox.

Braking & Suspension

The bike is based on a circular split-forged framework, suspended on a 43mm front USD fork and a 10-step-preload-movable monoshock at the rear. Slow speeds are taken care of by a 300mm circle front and center and 230mm back plate brake. It comes with double channel ABS as a standard element. The bike rides on 17-inch composite, shod with 110-zone (front) and 150 mm (rear) tubeless MRF tyres. The KTM 200 Duke gets a more split forged outline (cylindrical), which is not different from the 250 Duke and KTM 390 Duke, along with a 43mm inverted fork and 10-step customizable back monoshock (both WP Peak).

Design

The KTM 200 Duke has sharp looks, which is on par with the 250 Duke. To differentiate between them, KTM has given different looks to both the bikes. Additionally the 200 Duke continues to use the same underside exhaust as the 390 (with side mounted exhaust). The gas tank of the new KTM bike has the ‘Duke’ mark on it, below which is a small sticker of Rs 200. The 200 Duke rides on 300 mm (front) and 230 mm (rear) wheels with Bybre calipers. Double channel ABS is a standard component, with the option to go for a single channel unit (KTM calls it Super Moto ABS).

LED Headlight

The 200 Duke has a LED front lamp flanked by LED DRL-like teeth, and another LED taillight (like the KTM 250 Duke). It gets an essential LCD instrument console with readouts, for example, a luggage position indicator, continuous mileage, normal mileage, administration markers, distance-to-exit, time and side-stand warning light. There is a clear light above the speedometer that remembers the shift pointer in the center. The imminent 2023 will be with thrust powered front lights.

The 200 Duke comes with halogen headlamps, yet has tooth type LED DRL, LED blinkers and LED tail light. The bike also has a fully computerized instrument console as before, which shows speed, motor RPM, fuel level, running mileage, normal fuel usage and normal speed along with a clock. Not at all like its predecessor, the Duke 200 now comes with double channel ABS. However, the 2023 KTM 200 Duke will have a powered front lamp like the KTM 250 Duke and 390 Duke.
